I feel very strongly about the criminal justice system and what has been going on at the NPA. It is crucial that people understand this on a practical level. I hope this helps.

I’ve been following the case of 28s gang leader George ‘Geweld’ Thomas quite closely. He was finally convicted of several murders, including issuing hits on witnesses from behind prison walls. This is the incredible story of one of those witnesses Ursula Joorst.
I’m incredibly excited about this – as of the June edition, I’ll be writing a monthly investigative feature article for marie claire magazine. The first feature is on former Vlakplaas commander Eugene de Kock and whether South Africa is ready to forgive him or not. The feature will be accompanied by a monthly podcast too.
The day after George Louca died, my colleague Mia Lindeque went to the High Court to speak to Radovan Krejcir about his reaction to the death of his former friend. Krejcir said he wasn’t mourning Louca’s passing but he did want to clear his name.
